Looking into making an online purchase for emergency lighting batteries. Have found sites with costs lower than the local supplier. The battery brand names are recognizable.

Is there any pros, or more so cons, anyone can tell me I should be aware of when making a first time purchase? Any means to check reliability of companies and authenticity of products?

Have fun when one is broken. By the time you ship it back and the pain of doing so it's not worth it. I would rather take it back to my supply house to replace it that day. You may have to wait a week to get a replacement.
Also check the shipping charges.
