In looking at a set of plans for a a group of townhouses I find 280 MCM (I know it should be kcmil, but that is what the plans have) aluminum feeders for 200A service. That size struck me as odd, frankly I had never run across that before. I don't even know if there are conductors manufactured in that size. Could that just be a typo?
Any comments would be appreciated.

250kcm is normally 255 amps.

3/0 is usually good for 200A.

You might bid it as 300KCM (the next size up from what the print says) just to cover any upsizing the engineer might be doing for voltage drop.
