New to the forum. Thanks in advance to some of the questions I have.
Preparing for a new garage. My current house has 100A service. It's adequate for the house but, need 200A for the garage since I'll be welding abit. (175A Tig welder) Do I need to contact my power company for a separate service? Any idea of what this may cost (approx 125ft from street in residential neighborhood) PSE&G in South Jersey is my provider. Can this be run underground or what's the procedure? I appreciate any advice or feedback. I'm comfortable w/ installing the panel and related outlets etc... just need to get the power back in the backyard.
