english guy moving to springfield MO.
we are moving out on the 9th april and need some advice on how to get a journeymans card i spoke to springfield building dept and was told i would have to do a four year apprenticeship bs i have been an electrician for 19 years can i just take a test or something.

Most States have their own set of norms they go by for people to transfer electrical hours, or take an electrical exam to become an electrician in their State. I would call:
