I've installed 60' of 3/4" emt and then converted to fmc for the last 5' of the run. This run is supplying a 50 amp, 240 volt, 4 wire range. So I pulled 4- #8 thhn copper . So when the range is energized, I can actually hear and slightly feel the wires resonating in the panel. Is this normal? And is the 3/4" emt large enough for those size conductors?

Re: conductor fill in 3/4" emt

You can put 6 #8 THHNs in 3/4" EMT but the size of the raceway has nothing to do with this issue.

#8 THHN copper is rated 45 amps at 60C or 50 amps at 75C, you will need the temperature ratings of the terminals.

What is the actual name plate rating of this range?

the nameplate on the range does not say much only that the minimum overcurrent protection can be 40 amps , and the maximum overcurrent protection can be 50 amps. Also the contacts on the breaker is rated at 75 degrees.
