I am involved with a new 2600sq ft single story building being from another buildings 1000 amp service. The 1000A service feeds a 600A distrubtion section that is aprox 300 Ft away. the 600A distrubtion section has a well pump being feed from it as well as a 75Kva transformer feeding the new 2600 sq ft building. the transformer is located 300ft away from the 600A distrubtion section. My Question is, can the fire pump circuit for the new pump/controler be feed from the 600A distrubtion section or does it need to come from the main service?

Ya, I know the ats/ contoler must be insight. The company who makes the system has the controler and pump equiment on a skid. The question has to do with the power source. I understand that the conductors must be sized to table 450-150 and the overcurrent protection device must be sized to the LRC. by the way the pump is 20hp and 408V.
