Fuses for a 130 amp circuit

What standard size fuse does the code allow for use in a circuit having an ampicity of 130 amps?
I was thinking it was 110 amps but, I'm being told that's wrong...

The overcurrent protective device rating often depends on the type of load as much as it does on the circuit conductor ampacity.

There are specific requirements for motor loads, transformers, welders, electric heating, etc.
In addition, you would need to know what portion, if any, of the load is continuous.

More information is required.

Re: Fuses for a 130 amp circuit

As long as the conditions of 240.4(B) are met, per 240.6 the next standard fuse size would be 150-amp. Now there may be other consideratins for this. For one, the fuse will be permitted to be higher in the case of a motor circuit. See 430.52. And also, in some cases, the code does not permit you to use the next size higher OCD, but requires you to use the next size down. 430.62(A) would be an example of this.
