Hole hawg hole is as good as a staple

I was always taught that a hole is a support just like a staple, unless the very last one which of course needs to be some strain relief.
I couldn't find the code section and so ask your indulgence here.

talking about through stud holes?

334.30(A) (A) Horizontal Runs Through Holes and Notches. In
other than vertical runs, cables installed in accordance with
300.4 shall be considered to be supported and secured.....

Twoskinsoneman, that is good! You are fast with the code book! The part about the vertical being different is what I was calling the entrance to a box needed a strain relief, but he vertical part is much more clear! Respect!
