fire stopping

Does all NM runs through the top and bottom plate need to have approved firestopped method to maintain the fire resistance rating,also attached garage, 5/8 drywall does boxes back to back using NM cable have to be kept 24" horizonatal.They can't be in the same hollow space?

Check out article 300.21 and the fpn.
Also some state and local jurisdictions might require that all penetrations weather fire rated or not be sealed so you probaly want to check for your area.

Is this in a S.F.R.?????? If so then all that is needed is fire caulking at the top plate.Back to back in same cavity is fine.But is in a M.F.D,then that is a whole new animal !!!!!!

Agreed but the 5/8 drywall threw me off

The firestopping requirement in the NEC has had the same section number since at least the '62 code cycle. I am told the reason it was not enforced until a few years ago is there were no listed products for the purpose.
The residential building code is very specific in the requirements for firestopping.
