You just need adequate space in the DC Disco. to transition. The typical Square D HU361 dc disco (30A, 3 pole, unfused) has adequate space.

    Main Disconnect before meters

I have a situation i do not understand.

Use THWN-2. 90 degrees rated in wet conditions.
THHN = 90 degrees rated in dry conditions.
THWN = 75 degrees rated if wet.
    I believe.
Most wire is rated both THHN and THWN-2, but not all.

No. You cannot exceed 40 A PV.
(of course, the usual option of downsizing the 200A main breaker to 175A would allow an extra 25A PV to play with====>65A PV total - instead of 40A.)

Huh....that would be new! I like using just 125% instead of the breaker rating. It is a bit more leeway.
