The 1/2" EMT to 3/4" EMT connector is a rare one. ;)

it looks like some type of chang over, flex connector to emt?

From the Bridgeport catalog (red circle is mine):

Coupler.jpg

The fitting is not broken. The flex end of the coupler is 'split' and is only attached at one point to allow the fitting to close (reduce the diameter) around the flex by turning the screw. If you were able to see the backside of the OPs photo, you would see it was attached.

wow thats really lame.

I'll take "We need to get this done today and don't have all the proper parts, nor time to run to the supply house so we'll find what's in the truck." for $100, Alex.

Edit to add: What is the OP doing in a public restroom with a camera?

Exactly! Hate to say it, but they sell them at most big box stores.

Don't, because I do not buy them at all. I just so happen to see them one day. I'm sure my supplier carries them!

I use them to run EMT to near the location of moving equipment (motors, etc.) then transition to flex.

Years ago I had to do some work where the owner had already done some of his own. It was 3/4 EMT with factory 90's and 1/2" squeeze flex conns for all the connectors.

No reducing couplings that I know of.

I do know the bell end of 3/4" PVC fits perfectly in a 1" PVC coupling.
Anyone who has horsed 6000 lb pole bases in a hole with precast bases off a backhoe bucket would know that quick. They take a beating.
