Ref. the exception for Article 310.15(A)(2): With a 200' run of cable tray using 392.11(B)(3) and table 310.17 can I stay with the higher amp selection if 10' of conduit is used on both ends? Are we talking one transition only?

OK, 5' of conduit on both ends?

I'll try this one out. The way i read that section is your allowed up to 10' or 10%. You should be able to sleeve up to 20' of conduit over the cable without derating with the 200' run. That can be one 20' piece or multiple sections.

But couldn't you get another 10' in the non-adjacent point that would go with the second 100' ?

I appreciate the comments from everyone. 10' being the lesser of the two options stated for a 200' run of cable tray, I am still thinking 5' on each end would not be pushing the envelope based on the wording of 310.15(A)(2) Exception.
