We have been renovating a house in New Hampshire for a customer to flip. We have removed all the exisiting 2 wire romex and replaced with new. A new kitchen and 2 new baths have been done as well. Customer is trying to save money (go figure) and wants to leave the exsting 100 amp service the way it is.....http://i593.photobucket.com/albums/tt15/kjfelec/IMG_0603.jpgAbove shows the existing set up. Notice the creative way of wiring from the meter enclosure to the panel. The panel was obviously installed recently, we believe by the previous owner himself.http://i593.photobucket.com/albums/tt15/kjfelec/IMG_0605.jpgThis shows the creative wiring. 6/3 romex between the meter enclosure and the panel.*After showing the customer this set up he agreed. We will be changing/replacing this service.
The romex you see in the panel are for temp power to the air furnace, the water heater and basement lighting/receptacle.
