We have been looking into installing the windows for infared scanning in our main switchgear . We have also seen some information on thermal monitoring " Exertherm " that we might want to do . This would allow us to continiously monitor our switchgear in real time . Management is wanting to do more Predictive Maintenance so they want the " Data " ! Just wondering if anyone has installed this and their opinions about it ? Also wanted to say thanks to everyone that answers the questions here as the information and knowledge we get is very much appreciated .

Exertherm and their competitors do a great job and offer lots of good information.

It is difficult to install it successfully on existing operating equipment. I have had good luck with it being installed during SWGR fabrication. It is very expensive and will likely cause management to go back to the IR window concept.
