Part of our PM is to do thermal temperatures at the tombstone of flourscent lighting, is there a formula or a spec sheet that would give me the temperature that the lamps at the tombstones should not exceed? I have simple 2 lamp 32 watt instant start ballast.

I guess nobody knows, but I just can't resist anymore.

Isn't "Thermal temperatures" redundant? ;)

I don't know of any, but if you start your own log of different lamp and ballast types and the temperatures, let us know what you find!

And watch out for Larry, he might get redundant again .

Start taking readings. Once you find a bunch of them with roughly the same temp, then that's your normal operating range.
