Should the receptacles in a hospital's pharmacy that are on generator backup, be on the Equipment branch or the Critical branch.

Does 517 address this?

If it is for an equipment that needs a disconnect rather than an outlet, equipment branch may be considered?
It would be more dependent on what the equipment is for, the connection method would not be a deciding factor nor would whether it's a feeder or a branch circuit.

If the equipment is necessary for patient welfare the Critical Branch should be used.

Thank you

Thank you

I was thinking what is the difference between a hospital pharmacy and a CVS where clearly there is no need for a critical branch. I guess the answer is that in a hospital a need could arise in an emergency situation for a drug that was needed immediately.
