Pull box size?

I have a run about 120' of 1 1/4" EMT containing four #3 AWG and one #8 AWG to a new sub panel. I need a pull box about mid way. Based 314.28 (A) (1) for a straight pull (1 1/4" x 8 = 10") I need a 10" long box if the conduit comes in one side and exits the opposite end. Can I use a standard conduit C instead of a box?

Only if they are marked to accept you conductors {see 314.28(A)(3)}
(sounds like a good application for a 2-1/2 x 2-1/2 x 12" wireway.)

I'm thinking about insulation damage during installation.
