When calculating expasion fittings do you have to take into account Table 310.15(b)(3)(c) in the 2011 code? It seems to me that if the temperature affects the conductors it would affect the pipe.

Yes, are these adders applied for expansion fittings? So you're asking if you need to factor in how much spacing is between the conduit and the roof?

It is not spelled out in the code, but if the heat affects the conductors wouldn't it make sense that it would affect the pipe?Good question. I'm not sure if the NEC actually spells out that requirement but if you think about it it would make sense.
Is this something that should be discussed for the 2014 code? When calculating expasion fittings do you have to take into account Table 310.15(b)(3)(c) in the 2011 code? It seems to me that if the temperature affects the conductors it would affect the pipe.
