Can you use Romex under a 'vaulted - foundation block' style home?

If not - can you use BX or UF, or are you obligated to water tight everything that's under the home?

Not under 2008. Look at 334.15 C. Unless you are in NC:D

You have to excuse my transgressions with the 2008 code. I moved to Highway lighting and Traffic Signals and don't get into the code book anymore except on this forum. That being said, in Florida, the crawl space under a house is inclosed on all sides with access doors and is concidered enclosed space and protected and I haven't heard of anyone getting busted for using the bottom of the floor joists even for the smaller romex as long as it's stapled well.
