    Smile Washington State EL06 Exam

I am scheduling my journeymans test for my EL06 here in Washington State. I have my NEC 2005 and my WAC and RCW. I have a couple questions. 1) What kind of math do the low voltage test include 2)Are there any other books I can use for this test? I have an exam content outline. Seems pretty straight forward, but do they tell you in what article a question is going to pop up in?

I'm not sure of the math, I would expect Ohms/Watts laws and series parallel circuits.
You can take books into the exam room if they are published copyrighted books. They can be highlighted and can have notes written in them.
They won't tell you in which article answers can be found.
Be sure to test before January as 2008 code goes into effect December 31.
    Good Luck :-)

The best thing you can do is talk to someone who took the EL06 exam, and the testing agency.

Seeing that you don't have any calculations to worry about, All you need to do is learn how to find things in the NEC, WAC, and RCW books. They do have some books out there that will help you boost your understanding of the NEC code book. Check out Mike Holt books, and if you need a suggestion on another (additional) then email me.

I hate to say it, but this test may be cut and dry:wink:
