Master bathroom whirlpool/jacuzzi tub

In my area, depends on the tub. Normally not, but on occasion the mfg. install calls for such bond in the install instructions. (see attached Jacuzzi View attachment 2664 instruction)

And this just proves that the manufacturers have no idea of what they are requiring. It is never required to bond a #8 back to a panel for a hot tub, pool, or hydromassage tub. It irks me to no end how the mfg. are allowed to require ridiculous installations instructions.

Usually it is a #8 to the cold water suppling the tub, and the circuit it is plugged into has it's ground also, done. Assuming all metal piping in the house.
