If you're taking the test is May and you do not have the 2011 NEC already, you will not be prepared to pass the exam, buy the 2014 and take the test after September , by that time at least you'll be able to get around the book.

Good luck and Welcome to the forum....

FWIW, I will sell you a paperback copy of both for the list price of the 2014. PM me if you are interested... :D

PS: I'll extend that offer to anyone, first come first served. Also note shipping cost is on you.

You can't say that, you have no clue.

I studied for less than a month and passed the NJ contractor exam and I could barely figure out how to tie my shoes.

You need the book that corresponds to the code cycle that the test is based on. For test taking the spiral bound book is the best because it will lay flat and stay open to whatever page you're looking at.

Yes I can
Yes, you can, and you usually do, in fact, give out bad information.

EarlT500, Your best best is to get the 2011 and use it to study for and take the test. I have no doubt that you will do just fine if you study hard.

Smart $'s deal sounds good, I would jump on it.
