Does the requirement for 4 grounds per mile apply to direct buried jacketed, shielded cable buried with a 2/0 bare copper that is bonded to the shields and ground rods at each end of the runs? Is it required to cut the jacket and ground the shield of new cables just to comply with the 4 grounds per mile? Is the continuous 2/0 bare conductor run with the circuit sufficient for this purpose?
