IEC standard 60079-28

I'm using the standard to qualify my product for the marking [op-is Gb] and found that it is under the limit of 15mW and the comply to IEC 60825-1. Which is exempt from going further on this standard per #3 page 9. someone one told me that if that is the case then my product won't qualify to get the marking I want. Please advise?

This is a NEC forum and you're asking about lasers. We don't do lasers. I'll suggest you visit https://www.physicsforums.com/ or another online resource.

That's not to say that someone on here may not be helpful but that's not one of our primary areas of expertise.
