All,
I have seen some renewable installations that allow metering of the renewable portion through the use of a utility-style meter socket that is separate from the billing meter. The sockets I have seen have the N-G bonding standard with few capabilities to separate the two. My question also extends to any installation downstream of the first means of disconnect where these type meter sockets are used.
Are inspectors or installers (electrical contractors) separating this bond? I have had two occasions where these sockets were used and only 1 checked to see if we sparated the Neut. and Grd.
Thanks,
