Installing a hand dryer

I do have a 90 MC connector going through it the stainless, but other than that nothing, and if I drill a hole in the backing plate of the dryer to install a ground it'll make a place that could energize the stainless steel.

I would not worry about grounding the metal recess, I would just make sure the dryer is grounded as it should be.

The 90 is grounded by the MC armor.

It does get a bit interesting as in general MC is not allowed to be used with plastic enclosures but hand dryers are not really enclosures covered by article 314.

I didn't know this. Carlon, I believe, makes a plastic box with a rear knockout.
Huh? What does that have to do with MC?

I was unaware of 314.3. I'm glad this doesn't fall under it. I wouldn't be comfortable running Romex in that block and through the stainless steel recess. Thanks for the advice.
