I have a street lighting project where the owner wants a single photocell to control all the lights. Simple enough to do but the lights he wants to use only come with a 7 pin photocell socket. Can I spec something like an intermatic 3 pin twist lock photocell or do I need a 7 pin photocell and just not use any of the dimming circuitry?

Thanks

Then do you not have multiple photo cells?

I haven't worked on any new pole lights but in the old days they made a shorting cap to replace the photo cell on the top of the fixture.

Three-pin photocells work in a 7-pin (or 5-pin) socket. The twistlock portion is the same.
