Shunt Trip Breaker Wiring ?
I am installing a transformer to step down voltage to an existing elevator motor to 120/208y, the primary is 120/240v delta. There is a existing 3 pole 100amp shunt trip breaker feeding the transformer on the primary side.
Does it matter if the shunt trip breaker is on the primary or secondary side of the transformer?
I will be installing a 3phase 100amp fused disconnect on the secondary side, is there a way to provide the shunt trip function to a fused disconnect without having to put in another panel to contain a shunt trip breaker.
