There is (usually) a chart on the packaging that notes the number of conductors by size that can be joined together as well as some combinations.

That appears to be a wirenut brand 76B. You can get 4 #12's in that safely or 5 #14's.

Look up the wirenut spec sheets.

Not to count all the other violations, like the white pigtail going to the hots on the left from the same GFCI breaker, this looks like they changed the 2 prong receptacles to 3-prong and put all the receptacle circuits on the one GFCI breaker.:roll: (Notice the lack of grounding conductors)

That whites ok, didn't you notice that they taped it green?
