Wondering if anyone out there can provide some clarity on 690.8(B)(3) - Adjustable Electronic Overcurrent Protective Device, and the Corresponding 690.9(B)(3). These provisions are new to 2017, and it seems a bit unclear how they would be applied. 690.8(B) says "or where protected by a listed adjustable electronic overcurrent protective device in accordance with 690.9(B)(3), not less than the current in 690.8(B)(3)." However 690.8(B)(3) does not state a current value relative to the Max current per 690.8(A). Any input appreciated, and maybe we can get this clarified in 2020...?

I'm not seeing the same text in the 2017 NEC. Are you looking at the 2017 NEC book or some other doc that may have gotten garbled?

Paraphrasing, I see 690.8(B) say that the overcurrent device can be rated 125 percent of circuit current, or 100 percent if listed for such use, or an adjustable device rated or set in accordance with 240.6.
