When will NEC create a new table for ECM motors?

Now that our mechanical guroos are specifying ECM (electronically commutated motors) when will we get the new tables? These new motors are now achieving SEER ratings of 12 and higher and allows us electrical folks to circuit multiple VAV boxes on 1 circuit. This will save our electricians time and our clients money.
Anyone know of a new table or calculation that can be used in this situation?

I don't know of any talk on that issue but you can always write a proposal for it. Proposals are about the only way things get changed in the code.

With respect to Tables 430.247 and following, NEMA is the actual author. NEMA may or may not be working on a Table for ECMs but I can practically guarantee that if NEMA doesn?t submit the Table(s), the NEC won?t be revised. As of this moment, NEMA MG-1 doesn?t recognize ECMs specifically, so it doesn?t look good for the 2014 NEC.
