Residential UF cable to post light

As per 300.5 column 4 states that minimum burial depth of 12”
Cannot find any exception to say I cannot go with the 12” on UF, just checking if anyone has used this column for UF cable

Yes you are correct so long as it is 120V, 20A or less, GFCI protected, and isn't under a road or airport runway.

That said, I have troubleshot and repaired A LOT of UF wire over the years. Between shifting ground, roots, shovels, etc. It's just a recipe for disaster. I would strongly recommend using conduit especially if you're only going to be 12" deep.
