In regards to the receptacle outlet required near the furnace in the basement, can this be the one on the furnace that they often install for condensate pumps, or does this need to be a separate one on the wall in addition to the one on the furnace?

If you are asking about the 210.63 required receptacle, it can be mounted on the furnace. It can't be on load side of disconnecting means of the equipment.

If this is a central heating unit, I don't think 422.12 allows this receptacle to be on the same circuit as the furnace, but the condensate pump would fit the exception. As long as you have another receptacle within 25 feet you have met the rule anyway.
