See pics. There are existing underground concrete encased empty conduits that dead end between 20 and 60' before the new structure going up. We are to extend those existing conduits. The detail says there is a coupling( theY are PVC pipes) where it ends. So I'm thinking there is a little piece of pipe sticking out past the concrete encasement with a coupling attached or when they say coupling could it be the belled end? So if it's either a coupling or belled end when attached the new piece to the existing pipe there wouldn't be a fitting required correct? We could just push pipe on? Thanks.

Also another thought nothing is excavated past the exisiting duct bank and they need to excavate for our new conduits I would think that could pose a problem for the esting pipes maybe being damaged but I guess there is some sort of identifier for where the existing duct bank ends. Thanks.
