My mother in law bought a new range a couple months ago. She had a $600 electric range with oven. This new one is a $3k one with an induction cooktop. So it’s failed 3 times. Basically after using the oven after 10 minutes the whole thing shut down. Nothing works. Breaker not tripped or anything.

Factory repair guy came out 2x to replace parts. Both times it failed after working a few minutes. They took it away and sent a brand new one, which also failed.

Is it possible the 220v power is doing something to “fry” the ranges? Would an electrician be able to somehow test the quality of the power?

thanks

I don't think there is a "quality of power" issue. All an electrician could do is verify the correct voltage that the stove specs require. Also to verify it is connected properly, whether hard wired or cord and plug. Other than that I would call the manufacturer or get a different brand stove.
With that said......
