Hello,

I have been trying to create a single line diagram

SLD Etap question.jpg

I have the following questions. Please help. huhu
(1) Where can I found a Resistance Resistor Starters for Medium Voltage in ETAP?
(2) Where can I found the Load Break Switch? (Non-Fuse Type)
(3) Where can I found Disconnect Switch?

I really appreciate who will help.

Thank you in advance

The starting device is tab under the motor editor,
A load break switch is just the regular switch symbol,
And the disconnect is same as switch.

Hello Sir,
I have one more question.
I cannot find the Direct On-Line - Reversing method of starting for motor.
Where can I find it?
Thank you in advance

ETAP Creation of Single Line Diagram (Contactor Reversing)

Additional question,
I want to insert a Direct On-line Contactor Reversing (DOL-R)
Where can I find it in ETAP? or how do you place it in the circuit?

Thank you in advance sirs.

Hello,

You are already looking at a single line diagram.

I have the following questions. Please help. Huhu

(1) Where can I found a Resistance Resistor Starters for Medium Voltage in ETAP?

The accompanying link with tell you what symbol is used for the resistor. Look at the column for German Standard. I tried to include the tables here but this site can not handle the size of the data packet.

(2) Where can I found the Load Break Switch? (Non-Fuse Type)
Same as above.

(3) Where can I found Disconnect Switch?

Check the link. It looks like a switch.

I really appreciate who will help.
Thank you in advance

,
I have one more question.

I cannot find the Direct On-Line - Reversing method of starting for motor.

One line diagrams usually don't show the controls, monitoring circuits and PID (proportional-integral-derivatives) that interpret results from readings in instrumentation structures. The reversing /starting method is similar to the widely accepted engineering practices that apply to three phase motors, DC motors and universal motors. The absence of this details is common to most power distribution schematics dealing with high voltage (in kV range) and low voltage (in hundred volt range).

In retrospect, you are looking at a “hodgepodge” of symbols that run the gamut of engineering presentation through schematics--from different counties at that. There's nothing inherently wrong with them . . . it just needs some exposure to engineering methods on both sides of the Atlantic and even the Pacific. Your schematic uses European symbols especially the German resistor.

I noticed you are from the Philippines.

With that I say:”Mabuhay”! (greetings in English)

Additional question,
I want to insert a Direct On-line Contactor Reversing (DOL-R)
Where can I find it in ETAP? or how do you place it in the circuit?

On that drawing where the “motor” is, there is an adjacent rectangle labeled “RES”. This is sometimes used in Asian electronic diagrams for resistors.
This is also the answer to your question which says verbatim: where can I found (sic) Resistance Resistor Starter. . . .

ETAP (European Training Assessment Program) is the equivalent to ABET here in North America. It is a certification program that guides potential entrants for licensure to practice engineering profession.

There maybe more to ETAP than I can say here. Some regulars who are trained in Europe can probably tell you more.

Look at this site that might be helpful.
