215.10 says Each Feeder disconnect rated 1000a or more and installed on solidly grounded wye electrical systems of more than 150a to ground. Shall bE provided with gfp. Now what voltage are they talking about. I always thought wye connects were 120/208 3phase 4 wire and delta was 277/480 3phase 4wire. Can someone explain for Dummies version.

Both systems that you've mentioned 208Y/120 and 480Y/277 are 3Ø, 4 Wire Wye systems. The protection is required only on the 480Y/277 volt system because the phase voltage to ground exceeds 150 volts.

215.10 Ground-Fault Protection of Equipment. Each
feeder disconnect rated 1000 amperes or more and installed
on solidly grounded wye electrical systems of more than
150 volts to ground
, but not exceeding 600 volts phase-to-
phase, shall be provided with ground-fault protection of
equipment in accordance with the provisions of 230.95.
