What's the Story With UL 2186 and RGS

It is my understanding that UL has back tracked on UL 2196 standard for 2 hour fire rated cables and does not allow the cables to be placed inside rigid galavanized conduit as aoriginally permitted. I'm sure some of you have in good faith have referenced this in your specifications. Is UL not liable in publishing a defective standard?

This is an electrical forum. Your's is a legal question. You're asking the wrong folks.

That said, you can bet UL will take the position that they are never responsible for anything, ever - and have an entire legal department to see to it.
