    service

    going to run new service underground to new garage 120/240 single phase.going to use URD direct buried wire . I know in need sch 80 pvc and expansion joint at meter and minium 18 inches in ground but should i 90degree pipe in ground or just straight?

    IMO Straight would suffice.

    Straight with a bushing or 90, But check with your power company!
    Their web site should have requirements
    just something to look at.

    Our local POCO requires a 90 and 3" conduit in their specs for a 200 amp service, but they don't enforce it.
