We are looking to group 3 electrical services on a single building. Two of the services are for individual tenant spaces and the third is the house panel. Our installation will be similar to the one noted in the 2011 handbook exhibit 230.10 on page 157. Due to space constraints we plan on installing a wireway above the meter cans with the service disconnects under the meter cans. Can anyone tell us if the incoming service laterals are required to be spliced in the wireway (junction box) or can they be run straight through to each respective meter base?

Why not use a triplex meter can. It is 3 meters side by side. Hit one set of lugs

for line side of all three meters. Then you have indivual lugs for each load side

of the three meters. You could do it like the graphic shows, but I think a 3

meter pack would be the way to go. Welcome to the Forum

Services are three different sizes 400A, 200A & 100A

Doesn't matter what size the services are, the utility is probably going to pull in the same size wire no matter what. So maybe they simply treat it like an 800 amp service.

Here in the west, it wouldn't even be a question it would be a pull section, and a three meter section with overcurrent devices, pretty simple set up.
