in one of stallcup books he stated that ungrounded system have no neutral load [straight braker] when mike holt ststes differentley some help

Is that exatly what his book says? An ungrounded 240 volt system requires the use of a straight rated breaker, but corner grounded and high leg systems also require the use of a straight rated breaker. In addition, there is no rule that says you can't use a straight rated breaker on a 120/240 volt single phase grounded system.

In addition, 240V straight rated breakers are used in 208Y/120 systems also.
