I am installing a wood pole with two 400 watt metal halide fixtures on a "bull horn mounting bracket with slip fitters".
I can use UF cable to connect the fixtures but i was wondering can I use flexible cord "hardened type"
The problem is the mounting bracket does not have a conduit entry so i will run two seperate cables through the bracket to each individual light.

just wanted to know if flexible cord would be a better option?

It might work just fine, but it may well not meet code.

Sorry all I have is a 2002 code book.

Also I left out a piece of information.I will be running conduit to a j-box with single conductor wires above the light fixtures/bracket and splice to whatever I feed my fixtures with.
