Hello

I've been reading the forum off and on and have some questions for the board. Specifically members in PGE territory although all are welcome.

I have a residential service upgrade to do in PGE territory. I've read through their 2012 Standards Manual online and found it somewhat contradictory on what I was looking for.

1. What type of conduit is allowed for a 2" overhead mast IMC or RMC?
2. Has anybody had an issues mounting exterior surface mounts meter main / load
center on strut attached to exterior walls as long as all set backs and clearances are
maintained?
3. I heard somewhere they will not connect to panels mounted on exterior bedroom
walls? I assume this is for new services not upgrades?
3. What is PGE's process for same day disco / reconnect after city inspection clearance?
What division at PGE should be contacted? Local service planning office?

I rarely work in PGE territory, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks all :)

Pacific Gas & Electric Service change question

Here's some useful information if anybody else needs it.

Pacific Gas & Electric "Building & Renovation Service Center" 877-743-7782
Or visit their website www.pge.com/building/

Link to the PG&E 2012 Gas / Electric Standards Manual.

http://www.pge.com/includes/docs/pd...ction/greenbook/2012_Greenbook_Manual_ti6.pdf

You will need to fill out a 5 page project application. A project coordinator will contact within 3 business days. You can then request to have a field rep meet you at the project site to discuss specifics.
