Actually it is to a certain extent . ;)
Exp:
Kitchens require 2 dedicated 20a circuits.
Bathrooms require a minimum 1 20 circuit with some exceptions
Spacing for outlets is to be a max of 12' on wall space
Store front signs need a dedicated circuit.
I can go on and on.

Back to my original question. The reason I ask is because im wondering if there is a minimum requirement for one.

No mimimum requirements for a hair salon station as far as I am aware. I can tell you though, If you don't ask the right questions and put in adequate circuits to handle the anticipated load, you will have some very unhappy stylists. :) Personally, I would never put in less than two ( you may need more) 20 amp 120 volt circuits to each station, regardless of what the customer tells me they will be using at the stations. you can expect curling irons (yes, more than one), blow dryers, clippers, hot roller heaters, etc. to be in use, much of time simultaneously, at each station.

Hint: To which code are you referring? I assumed the NEC, but perhaps you had another one in mind.

I didnt think to Mention which code i was addressing seeing how this is an electrical forum.
For all those who did not think of the NEC:?, It was infact the code I was addressing ;)
