I keep a copy of the page that has 240.6 Standard Ampere Ratings taped to the wall in my cube. Something that has always made me wonder is the additional standard rating of 601A. Why is that? Is there really any difference between a 600A fuse and a 601A fuse?

There are no fuse reducers for Class L fuses, so a 601A fuse in an 800A switch would be kind of like putting 60A fuses in a 100A switch.
