Does anyone have any info on the upcoming test ? Like which code book they are going off of ? A test prep class or booklet ? Thank you for your time7.
I would guess that they're still using the 2011 NYC electrical code (Local Law 39) which is based off of the 2008 NEC with amendments.
Here's the checklist to see if you qualify, there is both a written and practical and no books are allowed to take the exam. If you really want to pass the first time out you should consider this prep course.

I am not taking the master license exam. I am taking the exam to become a NYC employee Electrician. It is an open competitive test. Thanks for the info though.
