But you need to bond the box intentionally. Because wrapping the EG around the green screw then not tightening does no good. Same with device.

This neutral was pinched to the conduit by the receptacle above. Solid connection. View attachment 12139 When the neutral connection went bad, the circuit still had a return path via the conduit to the box that was securely mounted to the metal siding. There were no arc marks at either green screw. Neither had been tightened. Eventually the heat at the coupling was enough to cause insulation failure. The fault tripped the main. Load was block heater for county road grader.

Moral of the story: Enter the box correctly to prevent pinching and a loose screw is not worth the effort, no matter what your intentions were.

That might depend on who is buying the green wire.
If the specifications call for a green wire in EMT or rigid, then they are paying for it.
If the customer didn't pay for it, then it's a gift.
