    Plasma Arc Welding (PAW) and Gas-Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG or GTAW) are similar but not the same.

    But what we are using the gases for is not the relevant part of the comparison, but rather that they are transformer-based (even the new inverter-based ones) machines with significant duty cycle considerations.
