Is there a setting to brighten the display of a Yaskawa VFD? It is on a Pump Panel, and I can barely read the thing.

I didn't sell the VFD or the 1/4 mile of underground but do get the pleasure of making it all work before the corn is affected by heat. Power lines went in last fall sometime. I got the call at 9:30 AM the day he wanted water.

What series drive?

A quick web search indicates the E7, F7, and G7 series have 5 levels of brightness.

"yeah, i know we didn't have you do any of the work,
but can you drop everything, and make it work now please?"

"shouldn't be over a hundred fifty bucks, tops."

If it's new, you should be able to adjust it. But in my experience with Yaskawa if the drive is not new, what happens is that people set the display to full brightness whether they need it or not, then a couple of years later it's burned out. The only thing you can to at that point is replace the display.
