I'm aware of 700 and 701 allowing us not to provide GF. What about Equipment branch (in hospitals) and Optional Standby in non-hospitals?

I'm aware of 700 and 701 allowing us not to provide GF. What about Equipment branch (in hospitals) and Optional Standby in non-hospitals?

517.17(B) prohibits additional levels of ground-fault protection from being installed on the load side of an essential electrical system transfer switch. The equipment branch is part of the essential electrical system per 517.30(B)(1). I am not aware on any prohibitions on the installation of ground-fault protection on article 702 optional stand-by systems. Hope this helps Mike.
